Condition

In good condition overall and ready to place. Some age splits and minor warping in places, primarily on left cabinet door, bureau side, and arched crest, commensurate with age,. Japanned surface with lovely craquelure, with minor losses in places to the gilt areas, and minor flaking and patches, but surface is stable. Some refreshment to red areas of decoration and darkening of later varnish. Feet replaced. Small chip to vertical moulding of right cabinet door, and a dent to the cross rail above the upper drawer of the lower section.
