Condition
Reduced in length with re-joined cut running across center of carpet continuing as a stepped joint in side borders. Pile ranges from 1/6in. to low to knotheads and some spot foundation in areas of scattered foldwear. Scattered repiling. End guard borders rewoven, side guard borders and outer guard stripes partially rewoven. Some further scattered small reweaves in filed; most to ends of field and not extensive. Some scattered spot stains and surface dirt; not extensive. Sides reselvedged, later end outer guard stripes with chain and binding stitch. Supple handle, sounds fabric, good condition, particularly for age. Good overall design and good color retention.
