Condition
The figure is in good condition and presentation, well-carved and with a pleasing texture to the skin and hair, counterbalanced by the high polish on the moon. There are several traces of dirt and residue to the recesses and the surface, all consistent with age, use and atmospheric changes. The surface appears to be original, the sculpture has not been outside or chemically cleaned. There has been old restoration to the pointer finger of her right hand and to her left foot, just above the ankle. The pedestal is in good condition and presentation, no chips or breaks, but is dirty towards the bottom and has traces of newer glue residue to a couple of vertical panels at its base. The uppermost top section on the pedestal (three inches thick) is detached but could easily be reaffixed, though the weight of the statue keeps it in place.
