Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the tonality of the face is deeper and richer and there are fewer yellow undertones visible in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. Close inspection reveals a few isolated networks of cracks in places; one towards the centre of the left edge, another under the figure's left facing ear, another directly below that, towards the lower edge, and two further ones towards the right edge. Further close inspection reveals an impact with an associated speck of loss to the upper edge, approximately 30cm from the upper left corner. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
