Condition

The illustration of the catalogue is accurate despite being a little bit too orange. Good restored condition. There are the inevitable minor dents, marks and scratches due to age and use. The gilding of the ormolu mounts is in good overall condition. The lower left hand side mount of the left door needs to be refixed. The gilt-bronze ribbons around the escutcheons are probably associated. There are scratches and ancient nails holes around the escutcheons. The shelves of the inside are later. Elegant bookcase in good condition.
