Condition
The illustration of the catalogue is accurate. The bureau plat has small dimensions.
Good restored condition.
The leather top: the leather top is later. There are some minor stains, especially to one corner with one minor water stain. The gilding is slightly rubbed and tarnished.
The ormolu elements are in good restored condition.
There are the inevitable minor dents, marks, scratches and surface scratches to the veneer, due to age and use.
There are minor restorations to the veneer with gomme laque paste filling.
There is a mark under the central drawer with the inscription "dargenson".
Beautiful bureau plat with an unusual small scale. Fine marquetry and very elegant feet with octagonal facets.
