Overall very good original condition. The enameled surfaces with some irregularities throughout inherent in the making. The reticulated box lid is exquisitely and delicately executed, displaying a dynamic asymmetry that conveys Tiffany’s commitment to naturalistic design. The lid with some scattered, very small losses to the enamel around the extreme edge, not visually detractive. The lower portion of the box with small losses throughout, concentrated to the highest points of the design and along the upper rim, visible in the catalogue illustration. These losses would likely benefit from stabilization by a professional conservator. An incredibly complex form and decoration that presents beautifully in person, with delicate pinks offset by a deep midnight blue ground and rich emerald green leaves.
