Description
- emerald, diamond, gold
Of horseshoe outline, set with a step-cut emerald, single- and circular-cut diamonds, highlighted with calibré-cut emeralds, French assay and maker's marks.
Condition
Brooch pin with French assay mark for 18 carat gold, and partial makers marks, side of brooch with French assay mark for platinum. Possibly maker's mark of 'two hands' for E. Caen. Emeralds mid green, transparent, with typical inclusions visible to the naked eye, some surface-reaching, central emerald measuring approximately 17.1 x 11.3 x 5.2mm, some areas of chipping to smaller emeralds. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated total diamond weight approximately 5.00 - 7.00 carats. Scratches to metal and emerald surfaces consistent with wear. Brooch fitting secure. In good condition. Overall dimensions approximately 72 x 57mm.
