Description
- diamond, platinum
Comprising: a circular brooch of geometric open work design with floral motifs, millegrain-set with circular-cut and cushion-shaped diamonds; and a smaller brooch of similar design, each with several diamonds deficient.
Condition
Largest brooch: the central diamond measuring approximately 5.0 x 4.95mm, depth not possible to gauge due to mount. Estimated clarity SI2, estimated colour J-K. 5 diamonds deficient. Length approximately 42 x 42mm.
Smaller brooch: the central diamond measuring approximately 3.9 x 4.0 x 3.0mm, calculated to weigh approximately 0.35 carats, estimated clarity SI2/I1, estimated colour J-K. 5 diamonds deficient. Length approximately 33 x 33mm.
Diamonds with scratches and chips consistent with age and wear. Solder repair visible to front and reverse, dark and yellow patches of solder. Metal with discolouration and light scratches. Pins in good working order, tight tension, discolouration and one with some play. Overall condition commensurate with age.
