These pieces are in conserved condition. Later polishing and attention to carved detail has resulted in wear to raised carved detail. One chair has had repairs to the back frame, around the construction joints, as well as a repaired broken leg. The other has repairs in the back frame, two repaired breaks to lower section of front legs and also to one of the arm supports. Marks and scratches consistent with age and use. The later red velvet is worn and torn in places.
