Overall measurements; 222cm across the top, 229cm across the bottom, 287cm the left hand side, 289cm the right hand side Pile varies from 5/6mm to knotbars in areas, for example section within lower left quadrant. Cut and reduced in length between upper border and main field, the cut then stepped and joined across side borders approx. one third of the way down. Losses to end guards. There are some sections of re-piling, for example in the right hand border halfway up, visible as lighter section within the photograph. Other areas of re-piling, including two sections in the inner lower guard. Scattered areas of re-piling and repairs throughout, for example a replaced section found lower right corner, measuring approximately 10cm in length and a split repair continuing a further 10cm from this repair. Further examples to be found in the upper border. There is a re-weave in the blue field, above the lower border - irregularly shaped. There are some splits, for example one in the lower central field measuring 6cm and a further example in the lower border, approximately two feet in from the right hand side, split measuring approximately 10cm. Both ends with losses, now overlocked. Later side cords. Velcro has been attached to the underside of the top border for hanging purposes. Bright vibrant colour, an interesting variant on a classical tree carpet.
