- mounted: 82 by 78cm; 2ft 8in by 2ft 7in; textile visible approximately 73 by 69cm; 29 by 27in.
together with a 'Vase' carpet fragment and two further central Persian carpet border fragments possibly from the same carpet, all 17th century
Condition
Overall measurements; 64cm across the top, 69cm across the bottom, 73cm the left hand side, 73cm the right hand side. Mounted, mount 82 by 78cm.
Long side border fragment- 51 by 108cm.
Small border fragment - 40 by 36cm.
'Vase' Fragment - 93 by 78cm.
Pile variable from 2mm down to knotheads and foundation. Some losses, for example a split to the central field below the lotus blossom and visible from photograph. Browns totally oxidised. First hand inspection is advised, photographs can be requested from the department.
