the doors each enclosing a shelf, the right-hand coat-of-arms identified as that of the Mann family, Yorkshire, reduced in size adapted and formerly with a superstructure

Provenance

Possibly commissioned by John (1809-1845) and Anne Mann (1813-1894) of Boldshay Hall, Yorkshire

Condition

Decorative and lovely quality. The evidence of alteration is visible most notably to the top where cuts, discolouration and quite possibly later panels have been inserted and are visible. This piece probably had an upper section and was probably longer in length. It is though, overall in reasonable condition, but with typical, dents, marks and scratches and scuffing to feet and extremities, losses to paint of coat of arms. A great piece in 'Country House' condition.
