of bombé form, the rounded sides rising from a splayed foot and tapering to a waisted neck, flanked by a pair of makara handles, the beast detailed with bulging eyes beneath thick furrowed eyebrows, above a long curled trunk between two pointy tusks, the exterior liberally decorated overall with irregular gold splashes against a lustrous brown ground, the base impressed with an apocryphal Xuande mark within a rectangle

Good overall condition, with just minor surface wear. The left handle has been strengthened from the inside.
