Condition

Overall good original condition. Please note that the center of the panel that appears to be grey in the catalogue photograph is in fact silver, which gives more depth to the composition when viewed in person. The surface of the panel has recently been professionally cleaned, enhancing the luminosity of the work. The glass surfaces with a few very shallow surface scratches consistent with age and gentle handling. There are occasional minor flake loss nibbles to the top right and left edges. There are also some scattered flake loss nibbles to the upper and lower left side. There are is some slight deterioration to the the edge of the gold colored reflective backing to the lower right corner where the sail is located. The reverse is inscribed L-5 Bernen (?) and P.F. #18 5th Row
