base impressed 29738/TIFFANY STUDIOS/NEW YORK with the Tiffany Glass and Decorating Company monogram - favrile glass and patinated bronze
Condition
Overall in very good condition. The favrile glass Lily shades are an assembled set, displaying subtle variations in form and coloration. Five shades engraved L.C.T. and two shades engraved L.C.T. Favrile. The shades are in good condition with air bubbles and minute particulate inclusions inherent in the making and light surface scratches consistent with age and gentle handling. One shade with a chip to the top aperture measuring approximately ½ x ½ inch, not visible when the shade is installed. The base displays with a rich russet brown and green patina with light surface scratches, abrasions and surface soiling to the recessed areas consistent with age and gentle handling. The sockets and base switch appear to have been replaced. A very nice example of this naturalistic design by Tiffany.
