The wood surfaces have been sensitively revarnished and present with minor surface scratches, edge abrasions, minor discolorations and light surface soiling consistent with age and gentle use. The top with a few minor circular marks from use, not visually distracting. The sides of the top with a few old restorations to the veneer along the edges, all stable and only visible upon close inspection. The proper right drawer with a small fissure on each side of the lower edge, the longest one measuring 2 inches in length and visible in the catalogue illustration. The proper left drawer with evidence of an old restoration to the side, which doesn’t affect the functioning or solidity of the drawer and is only visible when the drawer is open. The proper left leg with a few minor and isolated restorations, stable and only visible upon close inspection. The lower part of the proper left back leg with an area of restoration, with minor lifting to the veneer and an associated loss to the veneer along the interior edge, measuring approximately 3 inches in length and visible in the catalogue illustration. The metal surfaces with minor surface scratches, minor pitting and minor edge abrasions consistent with age and gentle use. A very stylish desk with elegant and graceful lines.
