The favrile glass “Tulip” shades are an assembled pair and present with slight differences in form and coloration, visible in the catalogue illustration; one shade is slightly darker and has more prominent faceting than the other. Both shades present with vibrant iridescent pulled-feather decoration. The shades with air bubbles and minute particulate inclusions inherent in the making and light surface scratches consistent with age and gentle handling. Both shades with minute flecks to the top aperture, not visible when the shades are installed. The bronze mounts are in good overall condition with light surface scratches, surface soiling to the recessed areas, and minor areas of discoloration and oxidation consistent with age and gentle handling. The circumference of each mount with traces of white house paint. A charming pair of sconces with very nice iridescent pulled-feather decoration.
