Description

- Pair of Two-Light "Lily" Sconces
- two shades engraved L.C.T.-Favrile, two engraved L.C.T.
- favrile glass and patinated bronze
Condition
Overall in very good condition. The favrile glass “Lily” shades are a well-matched set. All shades present with vibrant iridescence and subtle ruffled borders. The shades with air bubbles and minute particulate inclusions inherent in the making and light surface scratches consistent with age and gentle handling. All shades with minute flecks to the top aperture, not visible when the shades are installed. The bronze mounts are in good overall condition with light surface scratches, surface soiling to the recessed areas, and minor areas of discoloration and oxidation consistent with age and gentle handling. Each wall plate with traces of house paint; one wall plate with remnants of dirt concentrated to the edges of the plate. A very nice pair of two-light sconces with beautifully iridized lily shades that are complemented by the finely detailed petal motifs on the sockets and architectural composition of the mounts.
