Overall in good condition. When viewed in person, the wood presents with a richer, and slightly redder color than seen in the catalogue illustration. The wood surfaces have been sensitively revarnished and present with a few surface scratches, abrasions, wear along the edges and light surface soiling and discolorations consistent with age and use. The back of the lower U-shaped bar on one armchair with an area of losses along the edge, along approximately 3 inches on one side and 1 ½ inches on the other, visible in the catalogue illustration and which doesn’t affect the solidity of the chair. The suite has been reupholstered at some point in its history and the fabric is in good condition, with light surface soiling consistent with gentle use. The underside of the sofa seat with corrosion to the reinforcement metal crossbar. The later-added fabric protecting the underside of the seat is a little torn and detached, which could easily be fixed. A very elegant set, previously in the collection of Andy Warhol.
