Condition
Overall in very good condition. The pewter is in good condition with minor surface abrasions and a few shallow scratches from gentle handling. The recessed portions of the design with occasional minor polish residue. The enamelwork has been examined under black light and appears original. The enamel on the dial with a crack measuring approximately 1/2 inch in length adjacent to numeral IX. The enamel roundels at the clock's bottom border appear to have been reset in their positions at some point in the history of the piece and present with traces of adhesive residue around their perimeters. The proper right-most roundel with a minor irregularity inherent in the making. With winding key. The movement is not guaranteed to run at the time of cataloging and was not tested for accuracy of time and may need service at the buyers discretion. A wonderful work by Knox of deeply sculptural design.
