Condition
Overall in good condition.
Please note that the correct title for this set is "Chicoree" (Chicory), referring to the finely carved naturalist decorative motif on the back rest.
The wood surfaces have been refinished and present with a few surface scratches, scattered edge abrasions, minor discoloration and light surface soiling consistent with age and gentle use. The chairs with a few isolated evidences of old restorations which don't affect the solidity of the chairs. One of the chairs with a small restoration to the proper left carved "Chicorée" decoration, at the top. Some of the construction seems are visible, notably along the back of the seats. The chairs have been reupholstered in an elegant beige velvet which is in very good condition with very minor surface soiling consistent with gentle use. A great set, displaying an elegant silhouette and exquisitely carved details.
