Condition

Overall in good original condition. When viewed in person, the bronze of the chandelier displays a rich gilt surface, even richer than in the catalogue illustration, which complements beautifully the bright orange and sanguine mottled glass. When illuminated, one of the tulip shades is slightly more pink than the two others, possibly assembled. The glass surfaces with a few surface scratches with light surface dirt, consistent with age and handling, some of them from the rubbing with the mount. The tulip shades with minor chips around the upper edge, consistent with use. Two of the tulip shades with one larger chip around the upper edge, the largest measuring 1 3/8 in length, which are not visually disruptive when the shades are set in the mount. Three of the screws holding the shades are replaced. The gilt bronze surfaces with a few surface scratches and minor scattered dents consistent with age and gentle handling. One of the decorative triangular element with a minor crack in the metal, only visible upon close inspection and which does not affect the solidity of the chandelier. A few hooks are slightly torn, which don't affect the overall form of the chandelier. The sockets have likely been replaced at some point in the history of the piece. The chandelier is not guaranteed for electricity. A highly decorative piece that presents beautifully with fine flower details to the mount.
