Condition
Overall good condition. When viewed in person the enamel with stronger green hues compared to the printed catalogue illustration. The enamel with scattered small losses throughout and concentrated to the edges and raised areas of the design, visible in the catalogue illustration. The enamel with a few areas of restoration at each of the corners nearest the hinge, one at the mid-point of the proper right side of the design, and the largest along the edge opposite the hinge measuring approximately ¾ inch wide and ½ inch high. The silver with light surface scratches, minor abrasion and dents and some scattered discolorations throughout consistent with age and handling. The recessed areas of the design with traces of polish residue. The box interior with some discolorations and polish residue. An elegant floral composition with rich coloration to the enamel.
