Condition
Overall in very good original condition. The marble is original and presents with light soiling, a few shallow scratches and a few minor edge and corner chips consistent with age and gentle use. The glass is also original and presents with a few minor air bubbles and particulate inclusions inherent in the making and not visually distracting. The glass surfaces with a few light surface scratches consistent with age and use. The gilding appears to be original, with minor rubbing, minor oxidation to the recessed portions of the design and a few surface scratches consistent with age and gentle use. A gorgeous object which epitomizes Rateau's unique aesthetic.
