Condition

Overall in very good condition. The metal surfaces with a few surface scratches, minor abrasions and light surface soiling consistent with age and gentle use. The metal surfaces with a few minor dents, concentrated to the stainless steel areas and not visually distracting. The metal surfaces with some pitting and evidence of oxidation consistent with age. The two side handles with minor losses to the plating. The lacquered surfaces with a few small restorations along the edges, the largest two on the upper proper left side, measuring 1/4 x 1 inch, not visually distracting from the overall design. The bottom edge of the reverse of the scale with some losses to the lacquered surface, only visible upon close inspection and some evidence of water exposure. The "Step On It" plate with a small loss to the paint along the left edge measuring approximately 1 inch long. The "Step On It" plate with some light surface soiling and very minor crazing consistent with age and gentle use. The scale appears to be functional and retains the original paper tickets. With two keys. The base with some minor areas of restoration to the paint concentrated to the corners. The scale is an excellent example of American modern design.
