Condition

Overall in very good condition. The glass shade with air bubbles and minute particulate inclusions inherent in the making, not visually detractive. The glass surfaces with occasional surface scratches consistent with age and gentle handling, including an area of surface scratches that extends up from the red band through the yellow section of the glass measuring approximately 5 inches in length. The lower aperture of the shade with three small chips, the largest measuring approximately 1 inch in length, not visible when the lamp is assembled. The stainless steel base with light surface scratches and minor abrasions consistent with age and gentle handling. The base collar lacking one screw, which does not affect the stability of the piece. Drawing: 43 x 15 1/2 in.; watercolor and graphite on paper; inscribed BIENNALE/1958/n°9
