Condition

Overall very good original condition. This sideboard shows wonderful coloration to the decorated front doors, presenting with biomorphic bays richly decorated in whites, burnt orange, turquoise and mustard yellow, accented by gilt relief panels. The exterior of the cabinet is executed in overlapping patinated metal panels which present with some scattered surface scratches and minor edge lifting. The interior is fitted with three adjustable green felt covered shelves and with original shelf hardware. The painted wooden foot with some minor edge losses, scratches and nicks, particularly at outer edges, as is visible in the catalogue illustration. The work is intended for use against a wall and some areas of the reverse have minor white paint residue. The back panel has a series of holes, intended as part of the original design, for securing the work to the wall. Please note, the cabinet is front heavy and should be secured to the wall. Please note that this piece weighs 315 lbs. A superb example of the rare "Wavy Front" motif that presents well overall.
