Condition
Overall in very good condition. The wood surfaces present with minor scattered scuffs, light surface scratches, faint rubbing and minimal nicks, largely concentrated to the edges of the seats and the bases of the legs, all of which are consistent with age and gentle use. A few of the surfaces of the seats with very minor discoloration due to natural ageing, and one of the seats with scattered shallow scratches, not visually distracting. The tops of the backrests with light rubbing and minor fading, commonly found in this model and largely concentrated to the outer edges. The underside of the seat of one chair with a series of scattered inactive wormholes, and the underside of another chair with a loss measuring approximately 4 ½ x ½ in. and dryness in the immediate area. These cannot be seen when the chair is upright and do not affect the integrity of the chairs. A beautiful set of one of Nakashima's most classic and celebrated models with excellent provenance.
