Condition
Overall in good condition. The surfaces with a few minor surface scratches, minute dents and minor wear to the patina consistent with age and gentle handling. The gilt patina of both sconces appears to have been enhanced at some point in the history of the work. The shades have been replaced in a manner which is consistent with the original and are in good condition with minor surface dirt and scratches consistent with age and gentle handling. Please note Sotheby's does not guarantee the functionality and/or the voltage compatibility for electrical wiring, and suggests having all electrical components inspected by a licensed electrician. A very elegant shape by Royère with excellent provenance from a family who was friend with the artist.
