Description
- Mathieu Mategot
- Pair of Armchairs and Side Table
- painted metal
Literature
Philippe Jousse and Caroline Mondineu, Mathieu Matégot, Paris, 2003, pp. 217 (for the chair model) and 219 (for the table model)
Condition
Overall in very good condition. The metal surfaces have been repainted and present with minor paint runs, minor surface scuffs and scratches concentrated to the bases of the legs, and with evidence of older chips below the paint throughout. An isolated area to the seam of the proper front left armrest and seat with minor flaking to the paint but is not visually distracting. A stylish example of French mid century design.
