Condition

Overall in very good condition. The marble surface with scattered surface scratches and chips throughout, consistent with age and use. The top surface with a diagonal hairline crack measuring approximately 17 in. in length and beginning 13.5 in. from the proper right edge, stable and appears to be on the surface only. The rear upper edge with scattered chips, which are not immediately obvious when the piece is installed. The rear underside edge with multiple larger chips, not visible when the piece is installed. The wrought iron with minor scattered surface oxidation, concentrated to the shelf. A sinuous and serpentine form, highly representative of the era.
