Composed of five strands of graduated cultured pearls measuring approximately 9.18 to 5.98mm, to the old-cut, baguette and square diamond spacers decorated with carved and star rubies, completed by a diamond-set and cabochon ruby clasp, the diamonds and rubies weighing approximately 10.00 and 40.00 carats in total respectively, mounted in platinum and white gold, spacers can be worn as a double clip brooch, with brooch fittings, length approximately 935mm, one diamond deficient.
Condition
Mounted in platinum and white gold as tested. Of five hundred and forty-eight cultured pearls in total, measuring approximately from 9.18 to 5.98mm, white to cream body colour, of very good to excellent lustre, some with rosè or green overtone, majority with minor surface blemishes but not noticeable when worn. Rubies estimated to weigh approximately 40.00 carats in total, all with typical surface reaching inclusions, some chips, nicks and abrasions; star rubies are red to purplish red colour, medium strong saturation and some with good asterism; cabochon and carved rubies of red colour and deep staturation, each carved ruby with a drilled hole. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 10.00 carats in total, on average H to J colour (a few L to M), mainly VS to SI clarity, as gauged and graded in the mounting. Accompanied by a double clip brooch fitting.
Signs of normal wear to the metal commensurate with age, overall in good condition.
