Designed as a puffin, set with circular-cut sapphires, coloured sapphires and diamonds, to the onyx head and tail, highlighted by a coral beak, ruby eye and a cabochon emerald, the gemstones weighing approximately 2.80 carats in total, mounted in 18 karat yellow gold, signed VCA and numbered, case stamped Van Cleef & Arpels.
Condition
Signed VCA and numbered NY 1K549-2, inscribed 18KP for 18 karat yellow gold. Gemstones estimated to weigh approximately 2.80 carats in total; sapphires blue of medium strong saturation, with minor typical inclusions and some nicks; coloured sapphires of yellow with medium saturation and purplish pink of light saturation, with some nicks, some are eye clean and majority with minor typical inclusions; emerald green of medium light saturation, with typical inclusions and some surface reaching; ruby red of medium strong saturation. Coral of medium light reddish orange colour. Onyx in good condition. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 0.15 carats in total, are on average F to G colour, VVS to VS clarity, as gauged and graded in the mounting.
Signs of minor wear to the metal, overall in very good condition. Case stamped Van Cleef & Arpels.
