the body pierced and chased with pairs of birds among flowering foliage topped by a pair of lions holding a shield with Hebrew date for 1820, all on gilt ground, the pull with animal handle, with matched finial and handle, fitted with parchment scroll, marked with script maker's mark and 12; the later outer cylindrical case engraved the band of flowering foliage and with beaded border, unmarked, 19th century
