The movement is running at time of cataloguing.
The dial and hands are in very good condition. The case has visible scuffs and scratches throughout which are consistent with regular use. The crown was remplaced by an after-market crown. Overall, the watch is in good condition.

In 1932, Omega was for the very first time official timekeeper for the Olympic Games in Los Angeles, USA.
During the 1952 Olympic su🍨mmer games in Helsinki, Finland, Omega was awarded with the Olympic Cross of Merit “for outstanding service to the world of sports.”
Omega produced this Seamaster “XVI” for the 25th Anniversary as officia🍎l timekeeper𝔍 of the Olympic Games, which coincided with the 16th summer games in Melbourne, Australia 1956.
