Catalogue Note
Urushi is a time-honored lacquering art that involves extracting of sap from Urushi, a kind of lacquer tree. This precious resin can only be harvested several times a year and in extremely small quantities. The lacquer would then be left to sit for three to five years before being applied to the dials, layer by layer, to achieve a lustrous glittering effect. The scarcity of raw materials and the high level of workmanship required present a si⛦gnificant challenge, such that each timepiece takes months to complete.
A traditional technique of such rarity can only be matched by the highest level of horological mastery. Encapsulating modernity and aesthetics into one single watch, each dial is meticulously designed, painted and adorned by the most ꧑experienced urushi master, making it the crown jewel of every connoisseur's collection.
