Catalogue Note
Accompanied by a Rolex presentation box.
The classic Sea-Dweller reference 1665 can be separated into four distinct series, each one with subtle differences in dial design. The four series are also known as "Mark" and are sometimes abbreviated to “MK”. The present lot has the much sought-after Mark II dial, however on some of these watches, the dial changes to a𝕴 nice, even warm tone of brown over the years. In addition, this is also a "double red" version which is defined by the two red lines of the designation, versus the full white designation more commonly found on the model. All these special features make this example particularly appealing to Rolex aficionados.
