Catalogue Note
Paved with diamonds, the dial houses the luminescent hour markers and centre Mercedes-style hands. However, the most remarkable feature is the bidi♎rectꦍional rotating bezel where gems replace where a numeral would normally be on a typical GMT-Master bezel.
Ref. 116759 is a part of Rolex’s iconic family of pilot watches, the first being the GMT-Master released in 1955 as a tool watch for Pan Am pilots to keep track of two time zones while on the job. Consequently, the Ref. 116759 also indicates two time zones simultaneously. Housing the calibre 3186, an in-house made automatic mechanical mo𝕴vement, it also has better resistance to daily knocks and temperature swings thanks to the Rolex Parachrom.
Th🐲is piece is considered highly attractive and is an example of what is regarded ♊as an ultimate trophy in any serious collection.
