• manual winding nickel lever movement, 12 jewels • silvered dial with guilloché sunburst from 12, painted black radial Roman numerals, yellow gold star and pierced hands, inner minute track • silver case, blue and white guilloché enamel bezel, brass case back secured by eight screws, hinged strut • dial signed Cartier, case back signed European Watch & Clock Co 

Condition

The movement is running at time of cataloguing, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement. Case in overall fair condition with heavy oxidation to the brass case back and silver bands. Some indentations to the case at 4 and 12. Some light scuffing to the crystal. Dial in poor condition with heavy oxidation throughout. Painted black indexes with small areas of loss. Darker surface markings sporadically. Yellow gold hands with some oxidation. Case back inscribed "International Watch & Clock Co. Inc France, 12 jewels." One screw missing to the case back. Screws present in various sizes.
