Condition

The movement is running at time of cataloging, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement. Case in overall fair condition with wear, scuffing and scratches consistent with use and age. Case band lip with material wear and scratches likely from opening and closing. Case back with smooth center area and large guilloche detail. Cuvette in good condition with light surface markings and inscribed "CHRONOMETRO GONDOLO, NO 165011, PATEK PHILIPPE & Cie GENEVE, Fabricado expressamente para Gondolo & Labouriau Relojoeiros Rio De Janeiro." Dial in very good condition with light surface debris, markings, and wear. Some oxidation around the sunken subsidiary dial. Some wear at the center arbor. Movement in overall good condition with some wear to the gilt plating.
