Condition

Executed on canvas laid down on board. The board is sound and the surface is richly textured. Examination under UV light reveals an area of tiny lines and spots of inpainting around the two largest boats situated towards the centre of the lower edge. Further small lines and spots of retouching are visible in the foliage of the trees that frame the composition. There is some very minor frame abrasion to the extreme edges and a tiny speck of associated pigment loss to the lower part of the right edge, not visible when framed. There are remnants of old framer's tape along the verso of the edges. This work is in overall good condition.
