Condition

Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down and hinged to the mount in two places along the upper edge. The edges of the sheet are deckled and there are artist pinholes intermittently along all four edges. The sheet is slightly time stained and the extreme edges show signs of mount staining. There are remnants of old tape along the upper edge. There are flattened creases across the upper left and lower left corners (approximately 3cm. long). There are a few scattered spots of foxing, the most prominent of which is to the left part of the lower edge, as well as a few spots of discolouration in between the aunt and the child in the foreground. This work is in overall good condition.
