Condition
The canvas is not lined. There is a milky varnish preventing UV light from fully penetrating, however examination under UV light reveals a dense cluster of spots and lines of retouching to the sky in the upper left quadrant as well as further spots of retouching to the left part of the lower edge. There appear to be old spots and lines of retouching to the sky throughout. There is a small dent in the canvas in the sky in the upper left corner with some associated paint loss and two tiny nicks to the surface towards the centre of the lower edge. This work is in fairly good overall condition.
