Condition
The canvas is not lined. Examination under UV light reveals two spots of retouching to the upper left quadrant. There is an area of fluorescence towards the centre of the upper left quadrant and towards the centre of the upper edge. The canvas is gently undulating, primarily in the upper right quadrant where there is a small dent with associated pigment loss. There is some shrinkage in places, primarily to the left edge and the lower right corner, as well as some craquelure visible to the bridge. There is a spot of pigment loss towards the centre of the upper edge. This work is in overall good condition.
