The rectangular case set with diamonds, lapis lazuli, green hardstones and mother-of-pearl, the dial centring upon a carved jade plaque surrounded by mother-of-pearl inlays, with diamond-set hands and bloodstone Roman numerals, to a lapis lazuli base with carved jade bead and diamond details, mounted in silver, quartz movement, signed Cartier, numbered, with French assay and maker's marks, measurements approximately 195 x 160 x 100mm, fitted case stamped Cartier.
Condition
Quartz movement. Movement is working but the clock cannot be set. Service is required at the expense of the buyer. Signed Cartier Paris at the bottom, numbered 175892 with French assay mark for silver and maker's mark. Stamped Ag 925 for silver. Carved jade in the centre is medium dark yellowish green with waxy lustre, overall in good condition. Mother of pearl is white with some rosé and green overtone, some minor surface blemish commonly seen in mother of pearl, overall in very good condition. Green hard stone are on average light yellowish green colour with dark spots under strong light, overall in very good condition. Lapis lazuli are dark blue with patches of white colour and veins of white and gold specks commonly seen in lapis lazuli, some minor abrasion, overall in very good condition. Bloodstone in very good condition. Colourless material, is very good condition. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 3.00 carats are on average G to H colour, VS to SI quality as gauged and graded in the mounting. Metal shows signs of tarnish and discolouration commensurate with age. Overall in very good condition. Accompanied by Cartier fitted case.
