Accompanied by Gübelin report no. 15120083, stating that the oval sapphire weighing 17.74 carats, measuring 16.01 x 12.53 x 9.70mm is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating. Partial maker's mark, numbered 2831. Stamped PT 0950 for platinum. Remaining marks obscured by sizing band. Sapphire blue of medium strong saturation, with typical inclusions, some facet edges on pavilion with abrasions and wear, chips to the girdle. Light scratches to metal consistent with occasional wear. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 9 grams.
