There acquired and thence by descent.
Condition
The panel is a single, flat board that is stable and uncradled with four beveled edges. There is a very faint vertical bow that is almost unnoticeable. Image reads well beneath a clear varnish and presents a strong image. Inspection under UV is slightly impeded by a milky varnish, below which there may be some scattered old retouching, for example in the sheet of paper in the lower left and in the background at upper right. There are some faint, minor scuffs from frame abrasion on the right edge. Painting can be hung as is. Offered in a carved dark wood frame.
