Condition
Overall wear, small losses (particularly on edges of drapery), very minor worming and age cracks throughout. Some cracks have original wood repairs and some have old plaster fills (but they are stable). Some small repairs around base of Virgin and lower edges of drapery. Her shoes are replaced. One third of his rockwork base is restored. Hands expertly carved and possibly replaced. St. John's cuffs also may be later. Remainders of later polychromy on both figures.
