Provenance

Probably in the possession of the van Bleysweyck family at the beginning of the eighteenth century;
by inheritance in 1734 to Baron Hendrick van Slingelandt (1702-1759);
thence by descent to the present owners

Condition

Hinge mounted to a modern mount. There is an old hanging line to the centre of the sheet and a small loss to the upper right corner. The sheet has fractionally discoloured, however the medium remains predominantly fresh throughout.
